Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. The processor I do not think will be a problem, although as with most graphics programs the more RAM, the better.
I think the 12in. Was this reply helpful? The screen is a little small, the SP3 larger screen would be better. Guys, thanks for the responses. Yeah, I recognize the screen size will be a bit of a problem. I use a 32 inch at home. Problem is I am away from home during the week which limits ability to get my photo editing done.
So u think the i5 is sufficient? The i5 should be fine unless you do focus stacking or stitching which CNX2 doesn't do. If you plan on changing photo editors in the future since they are no longer updating CNX2 it might be wise to consider the i7 depending on the software you go with, still CS6 works fine on my SP2 i5. As a side note, if you don't need a SP3 right away you might wait until the Intel Broadwell processors are released and see what that does to the Surface lineup.
I'm holding off on replacing my SP2 for this reason. My guess is towards the end of the year or around the Holliday shopping season but you never know. My hopes are that a new SP3 i7 with a dock will replace my desktop photo editing machine and give me the portability that I also need.
I will probably still have to keep the desktop around for the processing of large stitched panoramas. This is just speculation on my part but it looks like the Surface with Broadwell will be a new iteration probably a Surface 4 and sometime in Judging from the issues Intel had and the delays the SP3 was originally going to have Broadwell. As long as my SP2 holds out I think I can wait and maybe by then Adobe can get the scaling issue ironed out.
The new CPU family was originally slated to debut in , but was pushed back repeatedly after manufacturing problems. Upgrades to the i3, i5, and i7 series and the U and H families will appear in Intel isn't revealing specific dates. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Report abuse. In reply to jpgolf16's post on August 29, Interesting thought about waiting for the broadwell. Is there a rumor out for a next version surface with the broadwell? Thanks for the thoughts.
I have the same need for portable photo editing and was considering sp3 as a perfect piece if it handled the editing software and large raw files. In reply to jpgolf16's post on August 30, In reply to Shilohbob's post on September 6, Shilohbob, thanks! Just what I wanted to know jim.
